About Me

I'm the owner and head coach at Ground Zero Strength, a Starting Strength Affiliate Gym in Twin Falls, Idaho. Before opening my gym, I was a former athlete and college baseball coach, working part-time at a 24-Hour box gym and a local athletic performance training facility while trying to climb the ranks in college baseball coaching. In 2021, I decided to go all in on strength coaching and opened Ground Zero Strength to provide my community with a gym built around real strength training.

I coach clients both in-person and online, operating on the philosophy that strength—built through systematic barbell and free weight training—can help you achieve your athletic, health, and physique goals. While I utilize the Starting Strength Basic Barbell Training method and earned my Starting Strength Coach credential in November 2023, I’m not dogmatic. I use whatever methods and principles work best for my clients. I work with a wide range of lifters, from 68-year-old grandmothers to amateur powerlifters, and I specialize in scaling exercises to meet people where they are. No matter their ability, I ensure safe progression and find what works to make them stronger so they can reach their goals.

I hold a Bachelor's in Biology and a Master’s Degree in Sports Performance. Outside the gym, I actively compete in jiu-jitsu, endurance running, and various strength sports. In my spare time, I’m an avid big game hunter, fisherman, and motocross rider. I live in Twin Falls, ID with my wife, Tess, our son, Cooper, and our resident gym dog, Hank.
